11 of the best skin care tips and tricks
1Papaya to bid farewell to acne
Papaya can do wonders for skin problems. If you are acne-prone, skin care products made with Papaya will likely be your new favorite remedy. An extremely nutritious fruit, it contains Vitamin C and Retinol-A.
It can work as a gentle exfoliator that helps not only to brighten and tighten the skin but also decreases any inflammation caused by acne.
You can use it as a face moisturizer and mask by mashing up the flesh of the fruit and applying to your skin for 15-20 minutes or you can eat the fruit for innumerable long-term benefits for overall health.
2Honey and cinnamon
Two of my favorite ingredients, honey, and cinnamon, are also the best combination to clear up the signs of acne marks. Both honey and cinnamon are rich with anti-microbial properties and honey is a natural antibiotic.
Mix together to form a paste and apply to the face 1-2 times a week for soft and supple skin. Handling honey can be a little tricky, but what is a little stickiness when compared to beautiful skin.
3Almonds for a clearer complexion
Considered a superfood, almonds are immensely nourishing. Rich in vitamin E, fiber, protein, potassium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and so on, almonds are good for not only your health but also for your skin.
Soak 4-5 almonds in water overnight and grind them to a paste along with a teaspoon of milk, a teaspoon of gram flour and a few drops of lime juice. For clearer skin, massage this paste on your face and body in circular motions for a few minutes.
As with any natural remedy, you must do this for some time before you see lasting results.
4Eat a balanced diet
I can not express the importance of a balanced diet enough. Healthy fruits and nuts like papaya, apples, almonds, walnuts ensure the body has all micronutrients in ample supply to maintain and repair the bodily functions and the skin.
A balanced diet also ensures that the hormones to remain balanced and don’t wreak havoc on your skin. Do include some form of exercise for better blood flow and removal of toxins.
5Tomato juice for a youthful glow
Rich in antioxidants, tomatoes work as an anti-aging product that works not only from outside but also from inside of your body. Consumption of tomatoes ensures the reduced number of free radicals in the body.
This means you can say goodbye to your anti-aging cream by incorporating a healthy dose of tomatoes in your diet.
If you want to give a quick boost to your skin, you can grate one tomato together with 3-4 drops of lime juice and apply on your face, neck, and arms. Wait for 15-20 minutes before washing it off.
You will notice luminous skin and your pores shrink down to size. Repeat it daily and you can enjoy a youthful glow for many years to come. This one is my mother’s favorite skin care foods, too.
6Yoga for a longer youth
Do you want to take a drink from the fountain of youth? Me, too, but since that idea is far-fetched, let’s start practicing yoga. Yoga gives a natural glow to the skin by flushing out toxins from the body and that improves the internal purification system.
Additionally, try some relaxing poses and meditation exercises to relax your mind and reduce stress. Regular practice of yoga ensures a radiant and rejuvenated skin.
Do you moisturize your every day? Moisturizing keeps your skin hydrated, making you look years younger. Find a moisturizer best suited for your skin and make sure to moisturize every day.
The best time for moisturizing is right after a shower or washing your face.
When your skin is still damp and the pores open, the moisturizer will seep into the skin for deeper and longer hydration, which means your skin will quickly absorb the moisturizer and give you younger-looking skin.
8Drink more water!
Believe it or not, the best skin care tips for sensitive skin is as simple as drinking enough water every day. Whether you have dry skin, dull hair or brittle nails, drinking more water and staying hydrated can be the best solution to having clear, supple skin.
The experts say drinking 8-10 glasses of water every day makes sure your body stays hydrated, toxins flushed out of the system and body functioning at optimal levels.
Of course, you can enhance the taste of the water by adding fresh fruits or good old reliable lemon juice.
9Learn to love your sunscreen
Best summer skin care tips: Sunscreens are your best friend. Exposure to the sun wreaks havoc on our skin, to say nothing of all of the pollutants in the air. In light of this, it’s no wonder the skin loses its sheen over time.
Regular usage of sunscreen protects the skin from harmful UV rays and keeps the melanin in balance. Make sure to wear a thin layer of your sunscreen on your face, neck, arms or any other exposed areas every day.
10Stub that cigarette
Seeing that smoking is a damaging habit, happily, more individuals are making the decision to quit. Its adverse effects on lungs, heart, and brain are probably already known to you, but do you know the havoc it wreaks on your skin?
Granted, it is something you may not notice immediately, but it worsens with time. Smoking also reduces the oxygen in the blood flow causing premature aging of the skin. So with that said, ditch the fire-stick; do it for your skin, do it for your health.
11Put that cocktail down
If there is one thing that you must do for better skin, you should cut down on the alcohol. Consumption of three drinks or more a day can cause serious dehydration, which leads to damage to the skin.
Larger amounts of alcohol consumption on a regular basis also harm the liver and pancreas, but when you must drink, choose your poison wisely. As a rule, the clearer the spirit, the better it is.
Say hello to Vodka, Gin or Tequila and say your goodbyes to Bourbons, Whiskeys and dark Rums for better skin.
