A 2016 survey found that 87% of couples see cooking as a delicious way to strengthen their relationships. Cooking requires talking, which is one of the keys to healthy, steamy relationships. It only makes sense you heat up the romance in your kitchen with a few of your favorite cooking recipes.

One of you could be going through a career change or facing a family emergency and feel stressed out. This is the time to communicate with each other. Otherwise, it could put a strain on your relationship. This is the time when your partner needs your support.

When it comes to red hot romance, spend time in the kitchen. Use southern cooking recipes and watch how it helps to relax you and your partner. You may connect in a way that eases whatever drama is going on in your lives.

Cook a Romantic Meal Anywhere

Even the smallest studio apartment can accommodate a romantic night in the kitchen. However, you must have the right kitchen supplies. Start with fresh groceries so you can whip up a delicious dinner from the cooking channel that will have the two of you getting back into the kitchen more often.

Some couples may have conflicting schedules. If this is you, plan ahead of time. Arrange things around in your home or kitchen so you can make a romantic meal with the person you love the most without elbowing each other. You want to heat up the romance in your kitchen, not start a heated argument.

If you have a limited budget, cook a big soup or other mouth-watering ideas using chicken recipes. Use a recipe you can portion into your main meals for the rest of the week. Even if your partner is vegan, something quick and easy like pasta makes a filling lunch or dinner. Just so you know, you don’t have to be vegan to try vegan recipes.

Watch this Fly Vegan video for an idea for a pasta meal. Add real meat if you must or eat it meatless, but the recipe is yummy.  Add a special twist to create a special meal you call your secret recipe.

Collaborate With Your Partner

Being in a committed relationship means you will collaborate with your partner on some of the most difficult things in life. Learning how to accomplish a task together can help you tackle bigger hurdles in life. The kitchen is the perfect place to start a meaningful conversation since it is often the heart of the home.

With this in mind, you should take the time out to heat up the romance in your kitchen. It doesn’t have to be like a “drunken love” video scene but decide on a recipe that will make you fall in love. Divide the tasks you’re best at to make both of you happy.

Create Fun Together

If you are in a serious relationship, a lot of your time together might be focused on your jobs, bills, kids and other tasks. Instead of using your “me” time partaking in happy hour with your friends to decompress, use the time to find a little love and romance in your kitchen. You both have to eat dinner anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process and try some easy food recipes.

Challenge Each Other

Cooking can heat up the romance in your kitchen and also help your communication skills. As a bonus, you’ll be spending more time together and hopefully, have more fun together. Make it interesting and challenge each other to see who’s the better cook.  Doing fun cooking games in the kitchen means you’re in a safe and creative environment.

The kitchen can be a great space to learn about each other and to grow as a couple. Go shopping together, chop vegetables together and peek into the oven together to see if your meal is ready. You will bond in a whole new way when you find true romance in your kitchen. Oh and don’t forget the wine or beverage to top the meal off!
