Improve your life hacks, everybody’s got at least one. This life of ours is only what we make of it. It is up to us women to make adjustments, improvements to make it better or make life run like a fine-tuned machine.
You should do what’s necessary to make a better life or improve your life if you’re not happy with its present state. When you are ready, choose to be a healthier, happy woman.
If you’re ready to improve your life, your circumstances and make a change in your health, you will need not only to make daily affirmations, but have a support system, and set reasonable goals. In life, you get many chances to make things right, however, you only have one life to live.
Improve your life; It’s not always easy
Self-improvement can be difficult, especially when you feel as though you are alone in the world. After living most of my life thinking I only had one brother, it turns out that I have three.
Knowing this, made me one happy woman as that meant I had men to look up to and come to for life advice. One of my brothers told me “life is what you make it,” and the oldest brother believes life is fair.
As it turns out, both are right! Life is truly what you make it although it won’t always be smooth, you won’t get back what you gave and especially not from the person that you gave ‘it’ to and you won’t always get what you want when you want it. (Dang it, man!)
You must change some things or rearrange some things about yourself to grow, but you can improve your life! Keep reading through to find out which habits should you change.
Good habits are harder to make
No thought, no word, no situation is unique. Most of the people in this world are a “work-in-progress.” My bet is many women who appear to have it together, didn’t always.
Remember, there’s always somebody somewhere going through the same things you are, so don’t be ashamed to say you need help to improve your life… because you are a woman of color.
Women, young and old, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Jamaican, Korean, etc., we all experience periods where we are vulnerable, and it’s okay. After all, we are human.
But when you’re ready to take improve your life, take your life to the next level, here are a few hacks to help make the transformation easier so, you can enjoy life to the fullest.

1. Upgrade your appearance
Our face and hair are two of the main things people notice, make it your best impression! Another thing my brother taught me was you can tell a lot from a man’s shoe, in this case, a woman’s shoes so, you may need to step up your wardrobe, jewelry, shoe game and makeup.
Treat yourself to at least one quality pair of shoes, without concern for cost. It’s not a cliché as I have learned in life. A woman’s shoe will reveal her self-worth, how she lives, and even her preference in music. I know that sounds strange but check it out next time you are in the club.
2. Review relationships
You may want to look at relationships and decide which are favorable for business. Relationships can be challenging, but more so if you are a woman, woman of color and in business for yourself. You may have trouble deciding when to or if you should become friends with a colleague.
You want friends around you who think as you do and those who are smarter than you. You may want to trim any destructive relationships or relationships which serve no good purpose and overhaul those with like minds and goal oriented.
When it comes to friends… yes, indeed, you got it; choose them carefully as these people will help you along the way. I know you are probably tired of hearing about my big brother, however, he was a smart man. After all, he told me how to improve my game and it didn’t cost me a cent to listen.
3. Get your mind right; improve your life
Eat healthy to make sure you get all the nutrients so you can think. Have you ever heard of the phrase, “Improve your brain improve your life?” It’s so true. Did my brothers tell me that? Haha… no, they didn’t but it’s good advice nevertheless.
Having a clear mind means you are free of stress and worry. Those are two very large issues, which can interfere with the pleasure principle. Eating the right foods can do wonders for your body and mind!
While you’re eating to become full, there are foods we can eat that will increase memory, and focus ability. Prepare foods that are helpful to use becoming the person we need to be.
4. Work out routinely
Yoga is one of the best forms of exercise to work both the mind and body. Having a healthy body and mind doesn’t take as long as you may think. You don’t have to join a gym either. Most toning and strengthening exercises can be done at home.
Try squats, jumping jacks, burpees or planks. These exercises are great for ensuring that you are stress-free, stronger and more appealing.
5. On the job
Women who stand up for change make it happen. You may find yourself being late for work and possibly be looking for excuses not to go to work. If this sounds like you, it may be time to look for another position or another company to work with.
On the other hand, it just might be time to improve your life by opening a business of your own. Hopefully, you can make a living doing what you love to do.
Keep a journal along the way and jot down what has gone right, what has gone wrong and what didn’t get done. A few more suggestions would include practicing meditation and continuing to read educational and self-improvement text.
